Love the Skin You’re In

Welcome to Dermatologique, a blog created by me, a teen, for teens. I created this space to share what I’ve learned about skincare through my own journey (breakouts, glow ups, and everything in between). I’m not a professional, just someone who loves researching skincare and trying new things. My posts break things down in simple ways so you can understand ingredients, routines, and tips that make sense. So, let’s learn, grow and love the skin we’re in, together!

More About Me

Hi, my name is Alyssa Edwards and I am currently in high school. When I was a freshman, I wasn't too sure what I wanted to do when I grew up. All I knew was that I wanted to be a part of the medical field. I was thinking of being a pediatrician, and helping little kids but then I started to realize that’s not what I wanted. I continuously looked online to see what type of doctor best suits me. I thought about anesthesiologist or a nurse but the one that caught my eye was the dermatologist option. Not because of the ridiculously high paying salaries but what they do for a living. They make people feel good in their own skin and the skin is the largest organ of the body so it’s best to take care of it as well as all the other organs. Being able to treat people’s skin and make it glow again just like a newborn baby is a dream. Now, here I am researching ways to make the skin stand out even more than it already has been doing. I am happy to share these thoughts and ideas with like-minded people out there. Welcome to Dermatologique!
